Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said Google will kickstart work on its $15billion AI data centre hub in Visakhapatnam.

He said during an interactive meeting with overseas delegates and business teams that in a record time, the MoU signed after giving clearances by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) and the State Cabinet.

Describing it as a game-changer, he compared it with his success in how bringing Microsoft brought a huge difference in ushering in dramatic development in Hyderabad. He said Google's largest investment outside America in Visakhapatnam will also change the industrial landscape of North Andhra. Ahead of CII Partnership Summit beginning Friday, Naidu had a busy day meeting global Industry giants discussing on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.

Eastern Naval Command Commanding in chief Vice admiral Sanjay Bhalla met Chief Minister Naidu and held a brief chat with him over the investments and startups providing services to defence sector especially shipping industry. government is ready to extend cooperation to Navy towards its activities.

A Taiwan delegation led by Mumin Chen met Naidu and informed their readiness to set up Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in Kuppam at a cost of Rs400 crore.

Meanwhile, Italian Ambassador Antonio Henrico Bartoli met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The Chief Minister narrated on investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh in different sectors.

He said automotive, auto spares, machinery, fashion and food processing sectors have abundant investment opportunities. He asked the Italian companies to come forward for investments in agritech, renewable energy, ship building.
